Stetind, fjord and silent plains

Kjøpsvik sits in the middle of one of Northern Norway's most beautiful landscapes. Here are some of the things you can experience during your stay.

Stetind – Norway's national mountain

Stetind

The distinctive anvil-shaped mountain in Tysfjord was voted Norway's national mountain in 2002. Stetind is an iconic 1,392 metres of pure granite – visible from Kjøpsvik and just a short drive away.

You don't have to summit to experience the mountain. There are beautiful hiking trails in the area and viewpoints that bring the mountain up close without technical climbing. For those who want to go higher, Stetind is an alpine adventure that requires experience and equipment.

Tysfjord from the water

Tysfjord is one of Norway's deepest fjords, known for its steep mountain sides and rich wildlife. From a boat you experience the fjord in a whole new way – quiet mornings, mirror-still surfaces and mighty mountains dropping straight into the sea.

For our guests at Koreaveien 23, a boat is available for exploring. You can also rent a boat separately – read more on Boat & car.
